“Winemaker Cherie Spriggs has released the ninth edition of Nyetimber’s Blanc de Blancs… The 2013 is slightly reserved, showing a persistent tight beading with a lively citrus, pear and green apple core and medium toastiness. Full malolactic fermentation and five years on lees bring a creamy, buttery mouthfeel, finishing with crisp, white peach fruitiness.”

In April 2019, Jancis Robinson reviewed Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs 2013 on Jancisrobinson.com
“Pale straw with a greenish tinge. Very light, flirtatious nose. This tastes as though it has been deliberately styled to contrast with the Classic Cuvee that is a blend of different varieties. Quite marked, though not excessive, acidity. Really delicate texture. Tightrope balance. A ballerina of a wine with convincing persistence. Rather pure. Not trying to be Champagne.”
Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs 2013 is reviewed in Singapore Tatler:
“This English sparkling wine producer is most notable for its Blanc de Blancs. The latest offering is the Blanc de Blancs 2013, its first expression made from 100 per cent Chardonnay grapes planted in two vineyards; the Hampshire vineyard which lie on chalk soils and the West Sussex vineyards with greensand soils. Pour yourself a glass to reveal its pale gold colour and exquisitely fine bubbles. Then take a sip to appreciate its floral and citrusy aromas with a layer of subtle vanilla and toast flavours.”
Wine writer Matthew Jukes writes in the Daily Mail Weekend after trying Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs:
“This new vintage of West Sussex-based Nyetimber’s 100% sparkling Chardonnay is an absolute stunner. Pale gold in colour, with soft, toasty brioche notes, an impressive depth of flavour and a long, subtle finish.”
Welcome to Nyetimber. Before we get started, we just need to get the legal bit out of the way.
