From secret garden soirées to classic summer sports, don’t miss out on our exclusive events, exciting news and insightful reviews. Welcome to the world of Nyetimber…
Effortlessly drinkable and a welcome pairing for British seafood, Nyetimber ages its signature sparkling wine for three years. During this time brioche characteristics start to develop, adding complexity and roundness to the refreshing lemon and grapefruit notes. Best enjoyed in the sunshine, either with asparagus, sushi or scallops.
Classic Cuvee Multi-Vintage
Where is it made? England: West Sussex, to be specific. If you’re not already familiar with the joys of Nyetimber, let us fill that knowledge gap without further ado: Nyetimber provides some of the finest English sparkling wine you’re likely to find. The estate comprises 170 hectares of vines planted on the chalky, sandy soils of the South Downs: the perfect terroir for the perfect sparkling wine.
What does it taste like? Flowing into the glass in a twinkling, pale gold hue, this is a complex wine — and it’s all the better for its complexity. Distinctive toast and spice notes make themselves apparent on the nose, followed by gentle hints of baked apple, almond, honey and baker’s yeast on the palate.
What does it pair with? If your father likes fish, he’s in for a treat — this wine pairs delightfully with fresh, hearty meat and fish dishes. A crab meat salad is recommended — perfect for a hot, sunny Father’s Day — or you could push the boat out, and opt for a lobster centrepiece. And we’ve got the perfect lobster-themed recipe for you…
Nyetimber 1086 Prestige Cuvée Rosé 2010: Silky and elegant, Nyetimber’s top-of-the-line vintage rosé proves England knows a thing or two about making sparkling wine. Crafted by husband and wife team Brad Greatrix and Cherie Spriggs, who actually moved to Britain to work at the winery after discovering the sparkling wines by happenstance, the 2010 vintage is the first-ever rosé sparkling wine in the country. There is a strong focus on the long aging on the lees (yeast particles) giving the wine pastry notes alongside its bold cassis flavors. It’s not far from my favorite black currant macaron in spirit, and it’s simply foreshadowing for what we’ll see from West Sussex in the future.
‘The 50 best British brands’ has been published online. Nyetimber is mentioned as one of these brands, alongside other important names in British luxury including, Holland & Holland, Floris and Rolls Royce. The journalist Johnathan Wells writes, ‘Every gentleman should have a taste for the finer things in life, and that includes a beautiful bottle of sparkling wine, describing Nyetimber as ‘the bubbly your flutes have be waiting for.’
Victoria Moore for The Daily Telegraph has listed Classic Cuvee MV as one of her ‘Wines of the Week’, a feature within an article entitled, ‘The best English vineyards to visit for wine tastings, tours and treehouse stays’, in which she lists the best English vineyards have to offer this summer.
‘Nyetimber is one of the most famous English sparkling wines, so I would usually assume you can find your way to it yourselves, but I wanted to highlight these half-bottles currently on offer and handy for those times you want a glass or two. Creamy, toasty and assured.’
Nyetimber Rosé is mentioned as one of the newspapers top picks for Mother’s Day… ‘of all the English wine producers, Nyetimber is the one that, over the years, has done the most to push the reputation of English sparkling wine forward, both as an early pioneer and more recently with the release of its luxury cuvées’.
Nyetimber Rosé ‘is excellent – a dance of crunchy redcurrants, raspberries and strawberries with a biscuity note underneath.’

Forbes selects Nyetimber Rosé as their choice of sparkling wine to make a flirtatious statement this Valentine’ s Day.
“Nyetimber Brut Rosé. A serene British Chardonnay-driven sparkler that’s more about earth and texture than in-your-face fruit. Very subtle on the nose, it comes alive on the palate: watermelon, young red berries, saline with chalky subtext, sharp minerality. It’s a clean expression that demonstrates the potential of English sparkling wine as a major player (this area of southern England shares the same chalky geology as the Champagne region).”
Vanity Fair selects Nyetimber 1086 as one of The Best Rosé Bubbles for Valentine’s Day.
“Uniting a rich flavour of baked fruit with a caramelised, almost savoury character, this is a seriously special bottle—the first ever Prestige Cuvée made in England.
Why it’s good: It’s enough to win over any English sparkling wine sceptic.”
