At Nyetimber, we are passionate about gastronomy and British craftsmanship, which is why we are thrilled to announce our partnership with Chef Tommy Banks.
Marking the launch of Nyetimber 1086, Tommy Banks will work closely alongside the Nyetimber team to promote the best of seasonal British produce and discover the gastronomic potential of Nyetimber’s celebrated collection of sparkling wines. As part of the partnership, Tommy will launch a bespoke four-course tasting menu that will perfectly complement England’s finest prestige cuvee, Nyetimber 1086.
Available in white and rosé, 1086 is made of a selection from a precious treasury of over 90 exceptional wines superbly crafted by Head Winemaker Cherie Spriggs with winemaker and husband, Brad Greatrix. Produced entirely from 100% estate-grown fruit and parcel-by-parcel selection from the greensand of West Sussex, this remarkable sparkling wine will only be produced in exceptional years and will be available at exclusive retailers including Fortnum & Mason and Harrods, as well as in this country’s finest restaurants including Tommy Banks’s The Black Swan and Roots.
A true pioneer in the culinary world, Tommy was the youngest British chef to be awarded a Michelin Star, embodying the same uncompromising commitment to quality as Nyetimber by priding himself on celebrating the best in British produce. Following the success of his award-winning restaurant, The Black Swan, Tommy has recently opened the doors to his second restaurant, Roots, located in the heart of York.
