Success at the International Wine Challenge 2018

We are thrilled to announce that Nyetimber have won a total of 3 trophies and 4 Gold medals at the International Wine Challenge 2018. Our Head Winemaker, Cherie Spriggs, has also been nominated for Sparkling Winemaker of the Year 2018 – Cherie’s second such nomination in the past three years.

The highly anticipated results of this year’s competition have been released, and the prestigious gold medals have been awarded to our Blanc de Blancs 2010, Classic Cuvee 2009 Magnum and Tillington Single Vineyard 2010. In Tranche 1 of the competition held earlier this year, our Classic Cuvee Multi-Vintage Magnum also took home a gold medal.

Nyetimber have also been awarded trophies for our Nyetimber Classic Cuvee 2009 Magnum, which has won both the English Sparkling Classic Blend Trophy and English Sparkling Trophy, and our and Blanc de Blancs 2010, which has won the English Sparkling Blanc de Blancs Trophy.

For the second time in three years, our Head Winemaker, Cherie Spriggs, has also been nominated for Sparkling Winemaker of the Year 2018 – a truly fantastic achievement.

Results such as these are testament to our ongoing to commitment to producing sparkling wines of exceptional quality.
