September Open Days a great success

On 5^th and 6^th September, Nyetimber opened its doors to over 300 guests for an exclusive and sold-out opportunity to experience a British original.

Exploring the Estate with a tour of the vineyard, visitors walked through the soon-to-be-harvested vines and took in the stunning views of the South Downs with a Nyetimber Brand Ambassador.

From the Traditional Method to the tending and harvesting of the vines by hand, guests discovered the practices behind England’s finest sparkling wine.

A memorable tasting experience followed, with winemaker Cherie Spriggs hosting a tutored tasting of 3 wines – Classic Cuvee, Rosé and Demi-Sec – in the magnificent 15^th Century Medieval Barn.

Having sampled glasses of Nyetimber, visitors had the opportunity to extend their experience by buying wines to take home from the Cellar Door. Rumour has it there may even have been one or two wedding wines purchased…
