Nyetimber Launches 1086 at The Ritz London

On Tuesday 25th September, 1086 was introduced to the world at The Ritz London. It was a night to remember.

Friends of Nyetimber gathered at one of England’s most iconic hotels to celebrate the launch of England’s first prestige cuvee. Glasses were raised in a toast to this truly exceptional moment in history, following an introduction by Owner and CEO Eric Heerema, whose vision, passion and belief in what can be crafted from English vineyards lead to the creation of Nyetimber 1086.

The evening featured a truly special tasting of 1086 white and Rosé, hosted by Head Winemaker Cherie Spriggs in the stunning surroundings of the William Kent room. Cherie offered an exclusive insight into how 1086 is the ultimate expression of Nyetimber winemaking, crafted from a precious treasury of over 90 exceptional wines from Nyetimber’s vineyards in West Sussex. Guests were also treated to a preview ofThe Performance, Nyetimber’s first media campaign created to celebrate the launch of 1086, which featured celebrated violinist Sally Potterton, who played live throughout the evening.
