For the second year running, we were delighted to serve Nyetimber to diners, chefs and farmers across four fabulous evenings, in support of the Lake District Farmers Armstrong Family Charitable Fund in memory of the late Ray Armstrong, founder of the Lake District Farmers and a well respected local businessman.
The dinners were created as an initiative to raise money for the charity, with profits raised going directly to help local causes in and around the area, providing support for those in need.
During each evening, held at either Clarence House Hotel and Abby House Hotel, guests were treated to a wonderful meal cooked by some of Britain’s most prominent chefs. This year, chefs included Adam Byatt, Clare Smyth, Angela Hartnett, Simon Rogan and Jeff Galvin amongst many others. Each contributed to the creation of a specially crafted menu, showcasing the finest meat and produce that Great Britain has to offer.
With provenance and quality being at the heart of the Lake District Farmers mission, the dinners were a true testament to the hard work and dedication shown by farmers in the Lake District. We were honoured to serve Nyetimber at an occasion that celebrates the very best of British.
