Celebrating Excellence: Nyetimber Sponsors Tour of Britain

At Nyetimber, we have always been passionate about championing the best of British, whether it’s in the world of sparkling wine or in the realm of sports. We are thrilled to announce our sponsorship of the prestigious Tour of Britain. The Tour of Britain is an annual multi-stage cycling race featuring diverse terrains and routes across the country. The event is taking place between the 3rd and 13th of September across eight locations across the UK and welcomes members of the public to attend free of charge. With a history since the 1950s and a revival in 2004, the race determines an overall winner based on cumulative stage times. It will be an incredible spectacle that combines fast-paced action with over 100 of the world’s best riders.  

Our journey into crafting exceptional English Sparkling Wine has led us to acquire 11 carefully selected vineyards covering 372 hectares across the enchanting English countryside, spanning West Sussex, Hampshire, and Kent. Our vines play a vital role in our pursuit of crafting the best English Sparkling Wine in the world. This harmonious relationship between the land, the environment, and our dedicated team allows us to capture the essence of our terroir in each bottle of Nyetimber.

The Tour of Britain routes showcase some of Britain’s most treasured natural scenery, including National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This parallels our commitment to capturing the essence of the land and nature’s beauty in every bottle of our wine.

Just as we assess every handpicked parcel of grapes for quality, ripeness and character when crafting the masterpieces of the Nyetimber range, the cyclists in the Tour of Britain train tirelessly to undertake the demanding courses around the UK, striving for perfection and victory.  

The dedication and persistence demonstrated by these athletes parallel our own commitment to crafting the finest sparkling wine. Every race is a testament to determination, and the pursuit of excellence – values that resonate deeply with us at Nyetimber. As the athletes cross the finish line of each race, they not only claim victory but also raise a magnum of our flagship Classic Cuvee – a gesture that embodies the culmination of hard work and determination.
