Introducing Cuvee Chérie

Nyetimber is delighted to introduce Cuvee Chérie to our range of award-winning English sparkling wines. Cuvee Chérie is our Demi-Sec wine – released for the first time in 2012 – that has been rejuvenated with new packaging and a new name.

Cuvee Chérie’s name connects with the translation of Chérie as sweetheart, in reference to the refined, contemporary spirit of this wine, and offers a subtle reference to the sweetness. It also alludes to the name of Nyetimber Head Winemaker; Cherie Spriggs, who won Sparkling Winemaker of the Year at the International Wine Challenge in 2018. Cuvee Chérie has been beautifully reimagined to reflect the shield label design introduced to the Nyetimber range in 2018 to commemorate our 30th anniversary.

Cuvee Chérie is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from our vineyards in West Sussex and Hampshire. Light golden hues and a slight silver undertone illuminate this delicately effervescent wine. Aromas of pure lemon, mineral and honey tones and a hint of tangerine fill the nose. The palate has a lively, sweet lemon start set off by a crisp acidity and a very clean, pure structure.

Designed to pair with a wide variety of cuisines, Cuvee Chérie entices with a fine balance of zest and sweetness, perfectly matched with fragrant, lightly spiced savoury dishes and Asian flavours, savoury foods such as foie gras, as well as delicate desserts such as fruit tarts, meringues and possets.

Nyetimber Cuvee Chérie is now available at selected retailers including; Berry Bros. & Rudd, Fortnum & Mason, Harvey Nichols, Hennings Wine, The Oxford Wine Company.

Nyetimber Cuvee Chérie is now served at selected bars, hotels and restaurants including; Cakes & Bubbles by Albert Adrià, Claude Bosi at Bibendum, Etch Restaurant, Park Chinois, Roka, Yauatcha City.
