Today marks the final day of the Nyetimber 2015 harvest, with the last Chardonnay grapes currently en route from our Hampshire-based Hazeldown vineyard to the Pressing Centre in West Sussex.
Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay juice from our vineyards in West Sussex (Manor, Nutbourne Village, Tillington, Lower Tillington and Upper Tillington) and Hampshire (Chalkvale) is already undergoing fermentation at the winery.
October 2015 has provided nearly perfect picking conditions, with predominantly warm and dry weather throughout the 12 days of harvest. Bearing many similarities to the successful growing seasons of 2010 and 2013, our winemaking team is confident of producing outstanding sparkling wine from the 2015 vintage.
