THE DINING EXPERIENCE

 

Join us as we open our doors for an exceptional evening this November with Chef Sven-Hanson Britt. This is a rare chance to visit the historic Nyetimber Estate and dine in our 15th Century Medieval Barn. Enjoy an incredible four-course dinner by Sven and the Oxeye team, accompanied by our world-renowned English Sparkling Wine, including the pinnacle of our winemaking – Nyetimber 1086 Prestige Cuvee.

Your evening will begin at 6:30pm, where you will be greeted with a welcome glass of Nyetimber and canapés on arrival to the Estate’s White Barn. You will then move to the Medieval Barn for dinner, where Sven and a Nyetimber Brand Ambassador will introduce each course and the accompanying sparkling wine whilst you enjoy this perfectly British pairing.

Sven-Hanson Britt

Sven-Hanson Britt, finalist of BBC’s MasterChef: The Professionals 2014, winner of MasterChef the Professionals: The Rematch 2019 and founder of Oxeye, started working in restaurants at the age of 14. He gained a place on the prestigious Specialised Chef Course run by the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts at 18 years old and completed his apprenticeship at The Ritz. After five years of working his way up through the ranks at The Ritz, Sven was a finalist of the William Heptinstall Award as well as the Annual Awards of Excellence and took himself to France for a sabbatical. Sven returned to The Ritz as Sous Chef and it was during his time here that he appeared in MasterChef the Professionals 2014. In 2015, Sven was hired as Executive Chef of luxury kitchen appliance brand, Miele, whilst he was preparing the groundwork for Oxeye: a space linking the farming of the Melbourne Estate and Park Farm in South Derbyshire, with a unique farm and ingredient led dining experience. In late 2019 Sven was selected as the winner of MasterChef the Professionals: The Rematch. He was up against other world-class chefs but was crowned champion by acclaimed judges Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti.

DIRECTIONS

Our nearest train stations are Pulborough and Billingshurst – we’d recommend booking a local taxi in advance from the station.

 

If you are travelling by car please come to Nyetimber Vineyard, Gay Street, West Chiltington, West Sussex, RH20 2HH. (If using SatNav please ignore any instruction onto Lower Jordan’s Lane, continue on Gay Street until you see the Nyetimber sign).

PARKING

Parking is free at Nyetimber, where it is only a short walk to the White Barn where you will begin the tour.
